Laser hair removal works by using a special light to gently heat and weaken the hair roots under your skin. When the root is damaged, the hair grows back slower, finer, and much less than before, most of the hair disappears. The Wavelength of a laser beam determines its energy and the depth of penetration into the skin. The higher the wavelength, the deeper it penetrates into the skin. The hair root in normal skin lies at different levels. The maximum number of hair follicles lies at the depth which is reached by 808nm, but there are also hairs which are more superficial and lighter, these are reached best by the 755 nm laser and also hairs which are deeper and darker, and this is reached by 1024 nm. Single wavelength lasers are usually 808nm in wavelength, and hence though this is effective in maximum number of hairs, superficial and deep hairs are only slightly affected. But a Triple Wavelength laser reaches hairs at all levels, and hence is the most effective. The advantages of different wavelengths are:

Laser Hair Removal for females is required for the following parts:

Legs and arms: Legs and arms are the most commonly desired areas for hair removal. Excessive hair on the legs and arms may be considered undesirable by many ladies. For females with facial hair, hormone tests are also required because many females with facial hair may have altered hormones like high testosterone or low estrogen. This is common in those with the condition called PCOD. Medical treatment is also required if the hormones are high, otherwise there may be a recurrence of facial hair.

In this, all the hair in the pubic area is removed. This includes all the hair on the front in the lower abdomen and pubic area, the upper thighs and the groin area lateral to the genitals. As with other laser hair removals, 6 sessions approximately are required for complete removal at intervals of 4-6 weeks.

Underarm Hair Removal is sought for by both Females and Males. Underarm hair is removed very effectively by the Triple Wavelength Laser and usually lesser number of sessions are required than other parts. 4 sessions are often sufficient for complete removal at intervals of 4-6 weeks.

Pain in Laser Hair Removal is minimal. It is often compared to a rubber band stinging sensation. The laser power is applied only upto the client’s pain tolerance level and not beyond it, so you dont have to worry about pain during the procedure.

Generally 6-8 sessions are often sufficient for complete removal at intervals of 4-6 weeks.

However, this can differ depending on various factors like density and amount of hair, skin tone, color of hair, etc.

Before your laser hair removal session, a few simple steps can help ensure the best, safest results:

• Avoid sun exposure for at least 2 weeks before treatment. Tanned skin increases the risk of burns and pigmentation.

• Clothes: Wear loose fitting clothes which can be pulled up to exposre the area of the procedure.

• Do not wax, thread, or pluck the treatment area for 3–4 weeks beforehand. Shaving is allowed.

• Shave the area 12–24 hours before your appointment so the laser targets the hair roots effectively.

• Stop using active skincare products (like retinoids, AHA/BHA acids, vitamin C, or exfoliants) on the treatment area for at least 3–5 days.

• Avoid perfumes, deodorants, or makeup on the area on the day of the session.

• Inform the clinic if you are taking any medications—especially antibiotics, isotretinoin, or photosensitizing drugs.

• Avoid bleaching the hair for 2–3 weeks since the laser needs pigment to work.

• If prone to cold sores (HSV), preventive antiviral medication may be advised for facial treatments.

Laser Hair Removal is a relatively simple procedre and not much after care is required. Clients are able to go back to work and other daily activities after the procedure.

After your laser session, the treated area may feel warm or slightly red—this is normal and settles within a few hours. You will be advised to apply a soothing aloe vera gel or cold compress if needed. Avoid hot showers, saunas, gym workouts, or direct sunlight for 24–48 hours. Do not wax or pluck between sessions; shaving is fine if needed. Most important is to avoid sun exposure. Try to remain indoors as far as possible.
